Children's Ministry
We partner with parents in raising kids who love God, love people, and live out their faith every day.
At CompassLife Church, we believe kids aren’t just the future of the church—they’re a vital part of it right now. Our children’s ministry is designed to provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment where kids can learn about Jesus, build friendships, and grow in their faith.
What to Expect
Check-in & Safety
Check-in opens 15 minutes before each service at our Children’s Ministry Entrance (located by the Gym). Every child and parent receives a matching security tag for safe and secure pick-up after service .Our team is trained to handle allergies and special needs — you can note this at check-in so we can best care for your child.
Engaging Worship
Kids experience high-energy, age-appropriate worship that makes praising God exciting. With fun songs, motions, and activities, they’ll learn to celebrate Jesus in ways that stick with them all week.
Bible Teaching
Each week, children hear God’s Word through creative lessons, interactive storytelling, and hands-on learning. Our goal is to help kids not only know about Jesus but also understand how to follow Him in their daily lives.
Small Groups
After large-group teaching, kids break into small groups by age/grade. This is where they connect with consistent leaders, build friendships, ask questions, and talk about how to apply God’s truth to their lives.
Age Groups
Nursery (0–2 years)
A warm, caring environment where babies and toddlers are loved, nurtured, and prayed over. Parents can rest assured that their little ones are safe and cared for during the service.
Preschool (3–5 years)
Through fun songs, crafts, games, and Bible stories, preschoolers are introduced to God’s love in a way they can understand. Every activity is designed to capture their attention and point them to Jesus.
Elementary (K–5th Grade)
Elementary kids enjoy a mix of large-group worship and teaching, combined with small-group activities that encourage discussion and application. Leaders guide them to explore their faith, build friendships, and learn how to live for Jesus in everyday life.
Safety & Security
Your child’s safety is our top priority.
Background-checked volunteers: Every CompassKids leader has completed a background check and ministry training.
Secure check-in/check-out: Only the parent/guardian with the matching tag can pick up a child after service.
Special needs & allergies: We want every child to feel included, cared for, and safe. Our team makes note of allergies, medical needs, and accommodations to support each family.
Emergency procedures: Our team is trained for emergencies, and medical professionals are on call during services.
Partnering with Parents
We believe the most important spiritual influence in a child’s life is their family. Our role is to partner with parents by:
Equipping families with take-home resources to reinforce weekly lessons.
Offering parent support and events to encourage discipleship at home.
Creating a team approach where parents and leaders work together to help children grow in Christ.
