How Pioneer Bible Translators Serve
Pioneer Bible Translators employs a holistic, strategic approach to reaching Bibleless communities at the margins:
- Bible Translation & Literacy
They focus on translating Scripture—written and signed—and developing literacy and discipleship tools to meet the specific contexts of unreached people groups. - Church Planting & Discipleship
Translation is paired with the planting and nurturing of local, reproducing churches. Their aim is to see communities mature spiritually through continued access to Scripture in their own language. - Incarnational Living
Teams live deeply embedded in local communities, building relationships, learning language and culture, and living as Christ’s presence among Bibleless peoples. - Prayer-Driven Strategy
Prayer is at the core of their strategy. They believe every step—from mobilization to translation and planting—is sustained by prayer. - Global Mobilization & Partnerships
Pioneer partners with churches and agencies worldwide, recruiting, equipping, and sending multilingual and multicultural missionary teams to places inaccessible to North Americans Pioneer Bible Translators. They also foster collaborations within the global Bible translation movement to unite efforts to reach every language group. - Targeting the Least-Reached
Their focus lies particularly with marginalized, hard-to-reach, and Deaf communities—groups often overlooked by other agencies. Their long-range goal is to complete translation and church planting for 300 language groups by 2050.
